The 2023 FLARE Annual Meeting was held October 12-16 in Nairobi, Kenya in partnership with CIFOR-ICRAF.
FLARE (Forests & Livelihoods: Assessment, Research, and Engagement) is a Network to advance knowledge at the intersection of forests and livelihoods and facilitate its application to policy and practice.
With about 215 people from 40 countries and more than 50% of attendees representing countries in the Global South, a variety of voices was present at the meeting. There were more than 135 oral presentations, posters, lightning talks and innovative sessions that explored the main theme of linking research and action for thriving forests, trees and people.
